Scodix (Hall 5/E11) is releasing a series of new innovations poised to impact the digital embellishment landscape at drupa this year. With the unveiling of two new digital embellishment presses, the Scodix Ultra 2500 SHD and Scodix Ultra 6500 SHD, along with their AI-driven tool for print design, aptly named Scodix AI, Scodix has clearly been hard at work preparing their technology for their Drupa 2024 showcase.
New Presses, New Possibilities
The launch of the Scodix Ultra 2500 SHD and Scodix Ultra 6500 SHD presses at drupa 2024 is set to turn some heads. These presses introduce Scodix’s Smart High Definition (SHD) technology and the new Multilayer Enhancement (MLE) technology, opening up new dimensions in print embellishment. MLE technology, in particular, offers interesting embellishment possibilities on uncoated papers, highlighting Scodix’s commitment to sustainability and innovation. The ability to apply multiple layers in a single pass allows for the creation of sophisticated effects, from braille to crystal finishes, on a wider range of substrates than before.
Expanding the Embellishment Horizon
With the addition of six new enhancement applications, Scodix broadens its embellishment repertoire to 16 different options. These enhancements, including Scodix Uncoated, Scodix Sculpture, and Scodix Transparent, among others, provide users with creative flexibility, enabling the production of unique and engaging print products.

Scodix AI leverages vast databases of Scodix-enhanced pages to automate and simplify the design process. This technology is designed to cater to the growing demand for automation in the print industry, enabling even those with limited design experience to create compelling, embellished prints that stand out in the competitive market. Scodix AI is set to be compatible across web interfaces, seamlessly integrating into Web-to-Print and online storefront systems
