The IGT Glossmeter G60 is a handheld device to measure gloss values under a 60 degree angle, the G75T is a version for the 75 degree angle TAPPI method. The devices come with a holder that includes a calibration tile that is used as the working standard for each individual device.

Before starting to use the glossmeter, it should be placed into the holder to calibrate the measuring values. By turning the calibration knob on top of the gloss meter, the calibration value can be set according to the value that is indicated in the holder. After calibration the measurements can be started by placing the glossmeter on the material that should be measured.
