SUBSTRATES
Suitable for a wide range of coated papers, films and label stocks including:
Coated PE, PP and PVC
Aluminium foils
The suitability of uncoated synthetic substrates such as PP should be tested
before printing. The surface tension should be 38 dyne/cm or above.
Corona treatment should be considered to improve the wetting and
adhesion onto the substrate.
APPLICATION
Mix well before use.
Screen Selection:
Gallus HV, HS, KS, KM – KF, Stork 125, 215, 305 – 315 mesh
Film weight 7-13 gsm
For best results:
Soft squeegee shore hardness (55-60) recommended
Low pressure on squeegee
Varnish reservoir level between 5 and 6 o’clock
SF030 to be used as a first down white for subsequent overprinting by
letterpress, litho, flexographic or screen inks and varnishes (combination
printing)
Minimum lamp power – 160 W/cm
Recommended maximum mix ratio (PureTone Bases/PureScreen Medium)
= 15:85
Fully cured UV screen inks will obtain resistance properties 24 hours after
printing and are not suitable for direct thermal or thermal transfer
overprinting.
Clean equipment immediately after use.
Unless otherwise stated, these products are not intended for food
packaging applications and are not suitable for outdoor use.
